RN Weekend Supervisor Part Time 12 hour days

We are currently seeking a Part-time LPN or RN for a part time weekend supervisor position 7 am - 7 pm every other weekend and also Monday 3 pm -11 pm one week and 3 pm -11 pm on Friday the next week.

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, ensures the delivery of nursing services to the residents according to the policies of Mease Manor. Provides direct resident care, while also providing direction to LPNs, CNAs and other staff on all floors.
Essential Functions of the Job:
As a legal and moral responsibility, immediately reports all witnessed or suspected resident abuse, neglect, exploitation or misappropriation of funds to the department director.
Assists in ensuring the safety of staff, residents, and visitors by identifying potential safety hazards to immediate supervisor and following all emergency plans (i.e. evacuation, hurricane, etc.)
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Supports Mease Manor's mission, vision and all customer service standards.
Honor Resident Bill of Rights.
Collect and analyze data.
Access, input and retrieve documents and information from a computer.
Non-Essential Functions of the Job:
Ability to assist in directing, evaluating and supervising all resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary.
Personally check residents and those critically ill or acutely ill and those that require administrative intervention.
Provide a pertinent condition report (i.e., resident change in condition, family or resident complaints, incident reports, etc.) Maintain an accurate census report.
In conjunction with Director of Nursing or Unit Manager, formally discipline employees following company procedure.
Identify and assist in the resolution of problems as they arise; communicate to staff, Director of Nursing and/or Unit Manager.
Follows infection control procedures and all safety procedures.
Responsible for the safety of residents under her/his care.
Identifies safety hazards and initiates corrective action as necessary, or reports hazards to appropriate party.
Makes recommendation to the Director of Nursing on resident equipment.
In conjunction with with the Admissions Coordinator, assesses prospective resident to ensure only patients whose medical and psychosocial needs can be met by the facility or in conjunction with community resources are admitted to and retained by the facility.
In conjunction with the Staffing Coordinator, make staffing assignments and records staff absenteeism, calls employees timely to replace call ins.
Ensures that all resident care and nursing areas are maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.
Willing to work beyond the normal work hours, on weekends and other positions temporarily, when necessary.
Performs RN clinical duty assignments (i.e., passing medications to residents if applicable, handles documentation as required)
All other duties as assigned.
Valid license to practice in the State of Florida as an LPN or RN.
At least one year experience in a similar environment preferred.

Required Testing

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
